Elastic lumbar belt with soft steel strips and removable pressure cushion

The product is a belt approximately 25 cm wide at the lumbar level, primarily made of highly elastic knitted fabrics, intended to be worn around the lower back. It features a central vertical non-elastic fabric strip secured by a Velcro fastener, and two external elastic straps adjustable with Velcro to increase the applied pressure. Inside, four vertical pockets contain soft steel strips (22x2 cm), two of which are removable and easily foldable by hand. A foam pressure cushion covered with fabric, heart-shaped (16x15 cm), can be attached via Velcro to the central rear part to exert targeted pressure on the spine. The product is available in five sizes according to waist circumference. According to the General Rules of Interpretation (GRI 1 and 6), note 7 d) of Section XI, note 1 b) of Chapter 90, and the descriptions of CN codes 6212 and 6212 90 00, this product is classified as other articles of textiles, CN code 6212 90 00. Classification as an orthopedic article (code 9021 10 10) is excluded because elasticity is the sole supporting factor, with the soft steel strips and pressure cushion having only an insignificant supporting effect. Furthermore, the belt does not fully restrict spinal movements as required for orthopedic articles under note 6 of Chapter 90 and the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union (joined cases C-260/00 to C-263/00).

Posture vest and posture T-shirt

These articles are fitted knitted garments made of synthetic fibers (mainly polyester, elastane, nylon), covering the upper body, equipped with elaborate fastening systems (zippers, hooks, Velcro) and integrated or removable elastic panels/bands, designed to correct or support the user's dorsal posture. The garments feature various types of technical fabrics (jersey, interlock, knit, velvet), reinforcements and fastening elements, as well as bands intended to exert targeted compression and support. Main use: postural support or light orthopedic support underwear, worn to promote back straightening and improve posture. Regulatory specifics: likely classification under heading 6109 (tank tops/undershirts) depending on the garment design, or under heading 6114 (other knitted clothing articles) according to specific characteristics and the absence of a medical function in the strict sense; CE marking is not mandatory for these garments outside certified medical devices, application of general rules on textile articles (labeling, REACH compliance).
