Whether uncooked poultry meat is seasoned or not shall be determined by application of the methods for the sensory testing of uncooked seasoned poultry meat laid down in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1362/2013 (1).
1. This chapter does not cover meat, meat offal, fish, crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates, prepared or preserved by the processes specified in Chapters 2 or 3 or heading 0504. 2. Food preparations fall in this chapter provided that they contain more than 20% by weight of sausage, meat, meat offal, blood, fish or crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates, or any combination thereof. In cases where the preparation contains two or more of the products mentioned above, it is classified in the heading of Chapter 16 corresponding to the component or components which predominate by weight. These provisions do not apply to the stuffed products of heading 1902 or to the preparations of heading 2103 or 2104. 3. For the purposes of heading 1601, the expression 'sausages and similar products' means sausages and similar products of meat, meat offal, blood or insects, including prepared food based on these products. Heading 1602 covers, in addition to the usual preparations of meat and offal, certain prepared foods made from insect protein.

Residual rule
1. For the purposes of this residual rule, "mixing" means the deliberate and proportionally controlled operation consisting in bringing together two or more fungible materials. 2. The origin of a mixture of products of this Chapter shall be the country of origin of the materials that account for more than 50% by weight of the mixture. The weight of materials of the same origin shall be taken together. 3. When none of the materials used meet the percentage required, the origin of the mixture shall be the country in which the mixing was carried out.
