FREEZER MILLS. THESE MILLS ARE SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR GRINDING AND PULVERISING OF TOUGH/OR TEMPERATURE SAMPLES. THE MILLS ARE CAPABLE OF GRINDING ALMOST ANYTHING, INCLUDING PLANT AND ANIMAL TISSUE, SEEDS, POLYMERS, PHARMACEUTICALS, FOOD PRODUCTS, ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS,TEXTILES, HAIR, TEETH AND BONES. THE SAMPLES TO BE TESTED IS INSERTED IN A VIAL MADE OF A SUITABLE MATERIAL (STAINLESS STEEL POLYCARBONATE, ETC) TO SUIT THE APPLICATION AND A AMGNETICALLYDRIVEN IMPACTOR USED TO GRIND THE SAMPLE. LIQUID NITROGEN, WHICH IS POURED INTO THE MILL AND NOT GENERATED BY THE MILL, IS USED TO COOL THE SAMPLE BECAUSE MOST SAMPLES BECOME MORE BRITTLE AT LOW TEMPERATURES, MAKING THEM EASIER TO GRIND. THE MILLS THEMSELVES ARE RECEPTACLES FOR THE LIQUID NITROGEN AND DO NOT HAVE ANY ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL COMPONENTS THAT EITHER REFRIGERATE OR FREEZE THE SAMPLE. THE MILLS ARE USED TO GRIND SAMPLES FOR DNA/RNA EXTRACTIONS, FOR BONES, TEETH, HAIR, SKELETAL, PLANT AND ANIMALTISSUES, LEAVES, PHARMACEUTICAL/DRUG TESTING, VOLATILE COMPOUNDS, MEDICAL RESEARCH, PLASTICS AND POLYMERS.
