A steel rack mounted rail is a metal sliding rail used specifically designed to mount data storage and processing equipment in a rack for use in a Data Center type environment. The rack rail is specifically designed and intended to be used in a rack environment for the principle purpose of mounting machines of heading 8471, it may also be used to mount machines of 8517. The rails are imported as a kit which includes the metal rail, fittings and instructions and allow the equipment (machines mainly of heading 8471) to slide into the rack, the rail has no function unless it is assembled to the equipment within a rack. The sliding rails do have several balls that transfer forces and reduce friction in a manner that is like ball bearing assemblies. If the rails were disassembled into parts, one could only find balls and not ball bearings. The slide rail design does not incorporate ball bearings as an independent component as defined.
