To qualify for the EU-Chile preferential rate on HS 8542, products must satisfy the origin rule of type maximum non-originating materials (MaxNOM). A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies.
Manufacture in which: - the value of all the materials used does not exceed 40% of the ex-works price of the product, and - within the above limit, the value of all the materials of heading 8541 and heading 8542 used does not exceed 10% of the ex-works price of the product.
