The kits are made up from the following components : Roof hooks (Various) depending on roof type – Which attach to the roof rafters. Roof rails – which attach to the roof hooks and to which the solar panels are attached with clamps; Rail Joiners – which extend the length of the rails; Rail clamps(Middle and End) which attach to the roof rails which then hold the solar panels in place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=navB-Dc5tlk The components are made up as follows: Composition of rails, clamps, joiners Rails and Joiners: AL6005-T5 Roof Hook: AL6005-T5 and SUS 304 Clamps: SUS 304 AL6005-T5 The alloy composition of 6005 aluminium is:[2] • Aluminium: 97.5 to 99.0% • Chromium: 0.1% max • Copper: 0.1% max • Iron: 0.35% max • Magnesium: 0.4 to 0.6% • Manganese: 0.1% max • Silicon: 0.6 to 0.9% • Titanium: 0.1% max • Zinc: 0.1% max • Residuals: 0.15% max SUS304 EN 1.4301 grade 304 Stainless Steel 18/8 (18% chromium 8% nickel) Not Welded Unassembled Description of goods: These aluminium kits are used to create a mounting system to attach solar panels to domestic house roofs, they are assembled by attaching stainless steel roof hooks to the internal rafters of the roof which protrude externally onto the roof. Aluminium rails are then attached to the roof hooks and are extended using aluminium joiners if necessary. Stainless steel clamps are then attached to the rails to allow the solar panels to be clamped at the edges and in between two panels to secure them in position. Due to the variation in the different types of tiles used in domestic situations in Ireland, different roof hooks contained within the kits are used for Flat tile, Slate or Pantile roofs.
