CONNECTION WATER BYPASS. A STEEL CONNECTION FOR WATER BYPASS USED IN A VEHICLE'S COOLING SYSTEM. THE CONNECTOR IS ATTACHED TO THE COOLANT PUMP IN THE VEHICLE'S COOLING SYSTEM. DESIGNED TO A SPECIFIC SIZE AND SURFACE FINISH AND PREPARED TO WORK SOLELY WITH THE PUMP. NOT FOR GENERAL USE. THE FUNCTION OF THE CONNECTOR IS TO INLET THE COOLER FROM THE PUMP INTO THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM WHEN THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE IS TOO HIGH. THE WATER PUMP USES CENTRIFUGAL FORCE TO SEND FLUID TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE PUMP WHILE IT SPINS, CAUSING FLUID TO BE DRAWN FROM THE CENTRE CONTINUOUSLY. THE INLET IS LOCATED NEAR THE CENTRE OF THE PUMP SO THAT FLUID RETURNING FROM THE RADIATOR HITS THE PUMP VANES. THE PUMP VANES FLING THE FLUID TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE PUMP WHERE IT CAN ENTER THE ENGINE. THE FLUID LEAVING THE PUMP FLOWS FIRST THROUGH THE ENGINE BLOCK AND CYLINDER HEAD, THEN INTO THE RADIATOR AND FINALLY BACK TO THE PUMP. THE CONNECTOR IS MADE FROM WELDED LOW-CARBON STEEL TUBING SUITABLE FOR BENDING, FLARING , BEADING, FORMING AND BRAZING, AND COVERED WITH ZINC PLATE.
