PART OF A VESSEL CLOSURE MEDICAL DEVICE. THE COMPONENT IS CUSTOMISED AND FORMS PART OF THE MECHANISM IN THE CONTROL HANDLE WHICH CONTAINS A PRE-LOADED CLIP. THE MECHANISM DEPLOYS THE CLIP INTO THE BODY TO CLOSE AN OPEN WOUND. THE PART IS COMPOSED OF A 304 STAINLESS-STEEL TUBE WITH A CUSTOM-MOULDED POLYCARBONATE FIXTURE.

A MEDICAL COMPONENT, A DILATOR LOCK WHICH IS MANUFACTURED SPECIFICALLY TO CONNECT INTO A VALVE ASSEMBLY OF A MEDICAL DEVICE USED IN ENDOVASCULAR REPAIR PROCEDURES. THE COMPONENT SERVES AS A LOCKING MECHANISM WITH AN ARROW INDICATING TO THE USER IF THE ASSEMBLY IS LOCKED OR UNLOCKED.

A single use component of a medical device used in endovascular repair procedures. The component is in the form of an assembly consisting of a dryseal valve designed to enable the introduction of multiple devices during the medical procedure and minimise associated blood loss, a stopcock valve for inflating the dryseal valve and a second stopcock valve for flushing saline solution through the device, connected by tubing. The dryseal valve in the assembly has ‘lock/unlock’ icons which must align with the ‘pointer’ icon on the dilator (not subject of this BTI) to be inserted through the valve. The assembly comes in multiple sizes ranging from 10Fr to 26Fr in diameter and varying lengths from 33cm to 65cm. The assembly is made of plastic.

Lever - This is an essential part of a vessel closure delivery system, which is a medical device. The material composition is of injection moulding grade of abs (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). The lever is used on the vessel closure device to open and close the foot. This allows the surgeon to identify where the device is located in the patient body during use. The lever is marked with two numbers which indicate the lever position during surgery.

VASCULAR CLOSURE SYSTEM. IT IS DESIGNED TO DELIVER A NITINOL (NICKLE AND TITANIUM ALLOY) CLIP TO CLOSE FEMORAL ARTERY ACCESS SITES FOLLOWING PERCUTANEOUS CATHETERISATION PROCEDURES. THE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF A CLIP APPLIER AND A 6F EXCHANGE SYSTEM. AN IMPLANTABLE CLIP IS MOUNTED ON THE CLIP APPLIER WHICH DELIVERS THE CLIP THROUGH THE EXCHANGE SHEATH FOR EXTRAVASCULAR CLOSURE OF ACCESS SITES.
