This chapter covers articles of stone, plaster, cement, asbestos, mica and similar mineral materials, but does not cover goods of Chapter 25 (mineral products in crude or simply worked form), articles of Chapter 69 (ceramics), or glass and glassware of Chapter 70. Products of heading 6808 (panels and boards of vegetable fibre, straw, or wood waste agglomerated with cement, plaster or other mineral binders) are included only if they are not more specifically covered elsewhere. The chapter also excludes articles of precious or semi-precious stones (heading 7116), and abrasive powder or grain on a base of textile, paper or other materials (heading 6805 covers only abrasives on a base of woven textiles, paper or other materials).
