Other elements (core, outer guard, end caps) are made of polypropylene by extrusion process. Gaskets or O-rings used as seals are made of plastic or rubber. Polypropylene membrane filters are used in pharmaceutical/biological or chemical industries, as well as in cosmetics, food and beverage processing. A membrane/vent filter Membrane is placed over an air vent in the back of the asset tracker, this then resists the penetration of low surface tension contaminates such as cleaning agents, detergents, and oils.
