In conjunction with an attached spring, the movement regulator dampens movement to provide a smooth operation of the ATCM. A PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE IS MOUNTED THROUGH THE BASE PLATE TO PREVENT THE SCM BECOMING OVER PRESSURISED DUE TO AN INTERNAL HYDRAULIC LEAK. THE FLOW TRANSMITTERS WHICH AUTOMATICALLY CONTROL THE FLOW OF OIL AND GAS FROM A SUBSEA RESERVOIR, THE READINGS FROM THE TRANSMITTERS ARE UTILIZED BY THE SCM TO VARY OR STOP THE FLOW OF OIL AS REQUIRED BY ELECTRICALLY ACTUATING ITS ELECTRO/HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVES. THE MAIN FUNCTION OF THE SCM IS TO CONTROL AND MONITOR THE SUBSEA PRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM (SPCS). IT IS SUITABLE FOR SHALLOW TO MEDIUM WATER-DEPTHS.
