To qualify for the CETA preferential rate on HS 2901-2942, products must satisfy the origin rule of type change of tariff subheading (CTSH). A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies.

A change from within any one of these subheading, whether or not there is also a change from any other subheading, provided that the value of non-originating materials classified in the same subheading as the final product does not exceed 20% of the transaction value or ex-works price of the product.
