To qualify for the CETA preferential rate on HS 6204, products must satisfy the origin rule of type specific processing (SP). A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies. 3 specific rules apply to this code under this agreement.
A change from any other chapter, provided that the product is both cut (or knit to shape) and sewn or otherwise assembled in the territory of a Party.
A change to a good knit to shape, for which no sewing or other assembly is required, from any other chapter.
Weaving accompanied by making up (including cutting).
Production from unembroidered fabric, provided that the value of the unembroidered fabric used does not exceed 40% of the transaction value or ex-works price of the product.

Making up preceded by printing accompanied by at least two preparatory or finishing operations (such as scouring, bleaching, mercerising, heat setting, raising, calendering, shrink resistance processing, permanent finishing, decatising, impregnating, mending and burling), provided that the value of the unprinted fabric used does not exceed 47.5% of the transaction value or ex-works price of the product.
