To qualify for the CETA preferential rate on HS 7108, products must satisfy the origin rule of type change of tariff subheading (CTSH). A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies.

A change from within any one of these subheading, whether or not there is also a change from another subheading, provided that the non-originating materials classified in the same subheading as the final product undergo electrolytic, thermal or chemical separation or alloying.
