To qualify for the EU-ESA EPA preferential rate on HS 3701, products must satisfy the origin rule of type maximum non-originating materials (MaxNOM). A tolerance of 15% of the ex-works value applies. 2 specific rules apply to this code under this agreement.
Manufacture in which all the materials used are classified within a heading other than heading 3701 or heading 3702. However, materials from heading 3702 may be used provided their value does not exceed 30% of the ex-works price of the product.
30% ex-worksManufacture in which the value of all the materials used does not exceed 40% of the ex-works price of the product.
40% ex-worksManufacture in which all the materials used are classified within a heading other than heading 3701 or heading 3702. However, materials from heading 3701 and heading 3702 may be used provided their value taken together, does not exceed 20% of the ex-works price of the product.
20% ex-worksManufacture in which the value of all the materials used does not exceed 40% of the ex-works price of the product.
