To qualify for the JEFTA preferential rate on HS 7108, products must satisfy the origin rule of type change of tariff heading (CTH). A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies. 2 specific rules apply to this code under this agreement.
CTH: All non-originating materials used in the production of the good have undergone a change in tariff classification at the 4-digit level (tariff heading) except from heading 7106, heading 7108 and heading 7110.
Electrolytic, thermal or chemical separation of precious metals of heading 7106, heading 7108 and heading 7110.
Fusion or alloying of precious metals of heading 7106, heading 7108 and heading 7110 with each other or with base metals or purification.
