To qualify for the EU-Kenya EPA preferential rate on HS 2707, products must satisfy the origin rule of type change of tariff heading (CTH). A tolerance of 15% of the ex-works value applies. 2 specific rules apply to this code under this agreement.
Manufacture from materials of any heading, except that of the product.
Manufacture in which the value of all the materials used does not exceed 70% of the ex-works price of the product.
70% ex-worksOperations of refining and / or one or more specific process(es) For the special conditions relating to "specific processes" see Introductory Note 7.1 and 7.3.
Other operations in which all the materials used are classified within a heading other than that of the product. However, materials of the same heading as the product may be used, provided that their total value does not exceed 50% of the ex-works price of the product.
