To qualify for the EU-Korea FTA preferential rate on HS 6217, products must satisfy the origin rule of type MaxNOM + CTH. A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies. 2 specific rules apply to this code under this agreement.
Manufacture: - from materials of any heading, except that of the product, and - in which the value of all the materials used does not exceed 40% of the ex-works price of the product.
40% ex-worksCoating accompanied by making up (including cutting), provided that the value of the uncoated fabric used does not exceed 40% of the ex-works price of the product. See Introductory Note 5.
40% ex-worksMaking-up preceded by printing accompanied by at least two preparatory finishing operations (such as scouring, bleaching, mercerising, heat setting, raising, calendering, shrink resistance processing, permanent finishing, decatising, impregnating, mending and burling), provided that the value of the unprinted fabric used does not exceed 47.5% of the ex-works price of the product.
