To qualify for the EU-Mexico preferential rate on HS 8527, products must satisfy the origin rule of type specific processing (SP). A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies. 2 specific rules apply to this code under this agreement.
Manufacture in which all the materials used are classified within a heading other than that of the product, except for heading 8518 and heading 8529.
Manufacture in which the value of all the materials used does not exceed 50% of the ex-works price of the product.
50% ex-worksManufacture: - in which the value of all the materials used does not exceed 40% of the ex-works price of the product, - where the value of all the non-originating materials used does not exceed the value of the originating materials used.
40% ex-worksManufacture in which the value of all the materials used does not exceed 25% of the ex-works price of the product.
