To qualify for the CETA preferential rate on HS 8706, products must satisfy the origin rule of type change of tariff heading (CTH). A tolerance of 10% of the ex-works value applies.
A change from any other heading, except from heading 8407, heading 8408 or heading 8708.
A change from within this heading, heading 8407, heading 8408 or heading 8708, whether or not there is also a change from any other heading, provided that the value of non-originating materials of this heading or heading 8407, heading 8408 or heading 8708 does not exceed 50% of the transaction value or ex-works price of the product.
