An assembly of components for an endotracheal or tracheostomy tube comprising a latex balloon enclosed in an ultraviolet light protective membrane, an inlet valve and outlet tube with a diameter of 1.57 to 1.78 mm. The assembly connects to the plastic cuff of the endotracheal or tracheostomy tube and is designed and intended exclusively to ensure the cuff remains sealed at all times when inflated through the assembly. The balloon works in conjunction with the cuff to ensure it maintains a seal against the walls of the trachea and expands and contracts to counterbalance movements (contractions and expansions) in the trachea while the tube is in place. The assembly is designed, manufactured and assembled specifically to interface with manufactured endotracheal and tracheostomy tubes.
