Horsechestnut Extract 18.2% is standardised by means of added dextrine. It an extract of Horsechestnuts (approximately 93%) titrated to an activity of 18.2% with dextrine. It is an ingredient used in medicinal and cosmetic products. The composition of the product is 90.9% native horsechestnut extract and 9.1% dextrin (10 parts native horsechestnut extract, 1 part dextrin). The extract process is a solid/liquid extraction system using an alcohol/water mixture is recovered by evaporation/concentration and isolated by spray drying. The product which is yellow/brown in colour is in powder form and is odourless.
