The product is a bespoke gasket for use on pumps/compressors to prevent leakage of fluids or gases. The gasket size depends on the mechanical seal it is being used on, this can range from ¼” to 6”s in size. They follow a circular shape to bit on a mechanical seal face, but usually will be grooved with holes cut in it, to allow for fitting. The mechanical seal gasket material is generally green in colour The gasket sheets are usually stacked flat and packed in protective wrapping to prevent damage during transportation. Other: Some will be supplied with adhesive backing to allow them to be stuck in place of the seal face. These mechanical seal gaskets serve to create a seal between two surfaces, preventing the leakage of fluids or gases under various conditions, such as pressure and temperature. Product is made of aramid fibres, NBR Binder, The manufacturing process typically involves mixing the raw materials, including aramid fibres, inorganic fillers, and the NBR binder to form a homogenous blend. The mixture is then calendared into sheets of the desired thickness. This involves passing the material through rollers to achieve uniform thickness and density. The sheets are then subjected to a heat treatment process called curing, where the rubber binder is vulcanized, enhancing the material's properties such as elasticity and chemical resistance. Finally, the cured sheets are cut to the required dimensions and shapes as per specific bespoke gasket designs. These mechanical seal gaskets are bespoke designed for use only with one of our mechanical seals. All sizing and dimensions will limit them only to be used within one of our seals. The gaskets are ordered to an internally produced technical drawing.
