ATA notebook
The ATA Carnet (Admission Temporaire / Temporary Admission) is an international customs document which allows the temporary importation of goods free of customs duties and taxes into member countries of the convention, for a maximum period of one year.

- Professional equipment: tools, measuring instruments, audiovisual equipment, medical equipment
- Fairs and exhibitions: goods intended to be exhibited at trade shows and events
Operation
The ATA Carnet is issued in the country of origin by the Chamber of Commerce (in France, CCI France). It serves as a customs declaration document for export, temporary import and re-export. Each operation is recorded by a section of the notebook.

More than 78 countries and territories accept the ATA Carnet, including all EU countries, USA, Japan, China, South Korea, India, Russia, Turkey, etc.
Guarantee
The ATA system is guaranteed by an international guarantee chain. In the event of non-re-export of the goods, duties and taxes are claimed from the issuing chamber of commerce, which is returned to the holder.
Cost
The cost of the ATA Carnet includes an issue premium (variable depending on the chamber of commerce) and a deposit (percentage of the value of the goods, often 30 to 50%).
