EU Customs Data Hub
Future centralized EU customs data platform, pillar of the 2028 customs reform.
EU Customs Data Hub
The EU Customs Data Hub is the centralized customs data platform provided for by the EU customs reform. It will gradually replace the fragmented national systems of the 27 Member States.
Objective
Create a single access point for all EU customs data, allowing centralized risk analysis assisted by artificial intelligence, simplification of procedures for operators (“only once” — single entry) and a real-time view of trade flows.
Calendar
- January 2028: opening for e-commerce shipments
- 2032: voluntary use for all operators
- 2038: mandatory use, complete replacement of national systems
Trust & Check Status
The Data Hub introduces a new trust status, the Trust & Check trader, which will evolve from the current AEO status and offer even further simplifications: self-release, invisible customs clearance.
Governance
The Data Hub will be operated by the new EU Customs Authority (EUCA) in cooperation with national administrations.
