GUN (National Single Window for Customs Clearance)
French platform connecting customs systems to partner administrations to automatically verify regulatory compliance.
GUN — National Single Window for Customs Clearance
GUN is the interconnection platform set up by French customs to connect the Delta I/E customs clearance system to the systems of partner administrations responsible for goods control.
Connected administrations
The GUN interconnects customs with around fifteen administrations: FranceAgriMer, DGCCRF, DGAL, ANSM, ASN, DREAL and other competent organizations for sanitary, phytosanitary, compliance and environmental controls.
Operation
When submitting a customs declaration, the GUN automatically checks whether the goods require authorizations or certificates from partner administrations. If a document is missing or non-compliant, the release is blocked.
European framework
The GUN is part of the EU Single Window Environment for Customs (EU SWE-C) project, the objective of which is to create a harmonized European single window by 2031.
Impact for importers
Importers must ensure that all certificates and regulatory authorizations are obtained and recorded in the systems before lodging the customs declaration.
