Exit summary declaration (EXS)
The EXS is a safety and security declaration required for goods leaving the customs territory of the European Union, when they are not the subject of an export declaration.
Application cases
EXS is mainly used for goods in transit via the EU which leave the territory, and non-Union goods leaving the territory without having been placed under an export regime.
Content
The EXS includes data relating to the sender, recipient, description of the goods, route and means of transport.
Deadlines
Submission deadlines are similar to those of the ENS, adapted to the mode of transport used.
