Intrastat is the system for collecting statistical data on trade in goods between the Member States of the European Union.
Reporting obligation
Companies whose intra-community trade exceeds certain thresholds must declare their shipments and/or introductions of goods monthly.
Data collected
CN code, country of destination/origin, statistical value, net mass, additional units, nature of the transaction, mode of transport.
Data usage
Intrastat statistics are used by national statistical institutes, the European Commission and economic actors to analyze intra-EU trade flows.
