Fused Aluminium Oxide blasting grit. The abrasive material is used to stream at high pressure to either make smooth a rough surface, or roughen a smooth surface on Orthopaedic Implants in order to improve adhesion of special coatings to aid their integration into the bone surrounding the implantation site. The product has a white to off white/light grey appearance and consists of irregular sharp edged granules of less than 10mm which generally come in a paper bag of 25kg or Bulk Bags of 1000kg
