BBMC (Buffy Coat Mononuclear Cells) - A fraction of blood containing most of the white blood cells and platelets, separated from whole blood. Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) are a type of blood cell that plays a crucial role in the immune system. Samples are collected from blood samples and usually packaged in sample collection tubes and in some occasions a reagent used to preserve the samples.
