A 9” LCD touch screen Smart Monitor which runs on an Android operating system. It contains DSP (Digital Signal Processing) with Core ARM Cortex-A8 CPU, 1GB of memory, 4GB SDHC storage, 2 USB ports, touch panel screen control. It supports downloadable Android operating system software, has access to internet browsing, movies, games, music, and credit card reader. Additional entertainment and internal communication content can be accessed using the 100mbit connection to the Seat Electronics Box (SEB) within the aircraft. There are input and output connection ports namely DSUB, USB (Type A), Single PIN Audio Jack. Weight: approx. 1.5kg. Designed as a component of a system which provides video entertainment to Inflight Passengers. The monitor is placed in the seat back of passenger aircraft and provides passengers with an interface to various applications. Cabin crew have access to disabling the passenger control and switch from entertainment contents to safety video etc.
