Cette entrée contrôle les systèmes, équipements et composants de télécommunications avancés, notamment ceux capables de résister à des environnements extrêmes (impulsions électromagnétiques, radiations, températures extrêmes), les équipements de communication sous-marins, les antennes à réseau phasé, les équipements d’interception ou de brouillage des communications mobiles, ainsi que les systèmes de surveillance IP à grande échelle. Sont également inclus les fibres optiques renforcées, les équipements de localisation passive, et les systèmes de radiofréquence sophistiqués pour la détection, l’identification ou la perturbation de signaux. Ces produits sont souvent utilisés dans les secteurs de la défense, de la sécurité nationale ou pour l’application de la loi.
